The GridWay Data Protect solution is a fully outsourced
data backup and recovery solution with service level
guarantees. GridWay Data Protect is designed for companies that
have moderate to very substantial backup requirements, and when
required, the desire to instantly recover their corporate data.
Your data is automatically encrypted and backed up according to a
schedule you define, typically daily. Using our integrated
de-duplication technology, your files are imaged to GridWay's
datacentre with network bandwidth for backups and restores cut by 10 to
100 times.
An optional GridWay tape
archive may be added for extra disaster recovery protection. Daily,
monthly, and weekly copies to tape are made, with weekly rotations of
the tape archive to Iron Mountain. The standard cycle of this rotation
is 12 months, but custom plans may also be prepared.
Data can be restored at
speeds up to 1 Gbps over a secure VLAN network connection between the
customer and GridWay's datacenter, or copied from external hard drives,
synchronized at GridWay with your files.
Outsourcing data backups means NO ongoing capital investment in
tape backup software, hardware and media. There is no recurring
capital cost to keep the backup infrastructure current. Outsourcing
